Best Laid Plans
I did mention that life is complex and hard to predict, didn't I? Now it turns out that one kid is sick, rest of this weeks plans are in jeopardy and that I've launched a blog project couple of days before midsummer.
The last one I might have been able to predict. Precitions are hard to do though, #NoEstimates! ;)
Seriously though, this is a fun practical test on how my process survives suddenly appearing complications. In a software project this would have been some emergent problem or technical debt biting the team in the behind. In this case it's a toddler with an extremely runny nose.
So how will this affect my sprint backlog for this week?
Mostly negatively.
But I did get a free small lighthearted post out of it and it's a good chance to try out which bits I can and want to salvage when I can't depend on having my normal velocity.
I'll be dropping some things I had planned for these few days, but mostly I will just wish you a happy midsummer. Stay safe, do some magic.
